Air Charter Scotland Supports UK CAA Lithium Battery Safety Campaign

9 July 2026

At Air Charter Scotland, exceptional service begins with an uncompromising commitment to safety. As part of our commitment to putting safety first and maintaining the world’s most thorough aviation standards, we actively monitor and support safety initiatives led by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Air Charter Scotland is supporting the national regulator’s latest safety campaign regarding lithium-ion cells and power banks, and promoting best practice for the carriage of lithium-ion batteries and portable power banks throughout the aviation industry.

This critical global update raises awareness of the risk to aviation safety posed by mishandled batteries. While these high-energy cells power the technology that keeps you connected globally, they present a significant hazard if handled incorrectly. Under the updated regulations, power banks are subject to new cabin rules: they must remain in your carry-on baggage, are limited to a maximum of two per person, and cannot be recharged while on board the aircraft.

Every aircraft within the Air Charter Scotland fleet is equipped with integrated charging facilities, enabling passengers to conveniently charge compatible electronic devices throughout their flight and stay connected where it matters most.

Our commitment extends beyond regulatory compliance. By actively supporting industry-wide safety initiatives and embracing evolving best practice, we continue to deliver an experience defined by professionalism, discretion and the highest standards of care.

Because true peace of mind comes from knowing every detail has already been considered.
